TUTORIAL ROUNDUP: Baby Crib Bumper

A little intro before the tutorial round-up:
So what's up with me right now is that I am currently about 7 weeks pregnant, so whenever I get bored at work I take a refresher (or two) by surfing for things that would help me prepare for arrival of baby (our second child after 6-year-old Nada). When Nada was coming into the world, I was quite young (by today's standards), all of 26 years old (like a friend commented: "You're having a kid? But you're still a kid!")  and didn't really like the idea of acting all too fussy about the pregnancy and baby's impending arrival - you know, all mumsy and stuff. So I acted all cool and carefree (not couldn't-care-less, but I just wasn't too fussed about it), and didn't really care what brand of stroller or baby car seat I got or what colour it was, as long as it was safe enough for use and we could afford it. The same went for other things like the baby crib, playpen and high-chair. Now, though, while we still can't afford the really nice high-end stuff, I would like to have all that baby stuff coordinate. And after tinkering around with my cheapo basic sewing machine and being quite successful in producing a set of fabric placemats, I feel that I'm ready to take on the bigger projects. Like baby crib bumpers to cover-up the generic crib from Nada's days.

So here are some of the ones I found on the 'Net:
Damask print crib bumper with helpful tips from The Blossom On The Vine
Stylish crib bumper from Sew4Home
Continuous crib bumper from Sew Dang Cute
Simple vintage-chic bumper from Honeybee Vintage

Now, for the fun part: Shopping for fabric!
