HOW TO GET MORE ENERGY
Not having enough energy during the day to do everything I need and/or want to do is one of my biggest obstacles towards achieving my goals. There must be some tips and tricks for overcoming this, so I decided to Google it.
Sure enough, from 55 Ways To Get More Energy from zenhabits.net (I'm bookmarking this!) to 3 Ways To Get More Energy from WikiHow, which, when clicked on, actually gives you 18 tips, but in 3 categories, there were so many tips out there (some as obscure as changing your socks in the afternoon), there must be something I can do to get more energy
As usual, I'm on a deadline, so I aimed to click only on the links with the shorter tips, but I couldn't resist sneaking a peek at the extensive list from zenhabits.net (with a website name like that, who could resist?). Doable (as in, doesn't require a big change in my daily routine or financially) tricks include:
- Drinking lots more water
- Playing a computer game for a few minutes to stimulate your mind (yeay!)
- Cut down on coffee, load up on tea (very zen)
- Splashing water on your face, stretching and taking a few deep breaths
- Adding a bit of exercise, starting slow and building your way up. And to do this in the morning.
- Having eggs for breakfast
- Including yogurt in your diet
- Sleeping at least 6 hours nightly
The rest of the links gave more or less the same advice, with the odd out-of-the-box tip here and there like writing a letter of forgiveness to the people you are angry with (from Reader's Digest, where else?) and some specific gems that I will need to remember when next buying groceries like getting magnesium-rich foods such as bananas, kidney beans, whole wheat bread, oatmeal and spinach (thanks Dr Oz!).
Well, here's to being more energised, productive and successful!
